Great to meet you!

My name is Shanti Hubbard, MS, LPC, and I’m a dedicated and empathetic therapist with a strong passion for supporting individuals on their path to healing and self-discovery. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with minors in Chemistry and Philosophy from Xavier University of Louisiana, where I published research and contributed to academic discussions around relationships and intimacy. I later earned my Master of Science in Behavioral Sciences with a concentration in Counseling Psychology from Cameron University, and a second Master’s degree in Forensic Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.

My professional journey has been rooted in supporting survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. I’ve worked in various settings—from advocacy organizations to courtrooms—providing trauma-informed care and even serving as an expert witness. In Texas, I expanded my practice to include neurofeedback therapy, helping clients experience meaningful relief from trauma-related symptoms, anxiety, depression, and cognitive challenges.

In my current practice, I combine evidence-based approaches like Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT) with neurofeedback techniques to help clients better understand their experiences and improve their emotional well-being. I approach each client with compassion and cultural sensitivity, always working from a trauma-informed lens to promote healing, empowerment, and lasting change.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is deeply rooted in compassion, collaboration, and a trauma-informed perspective. I believe that healing begins with understanding—both of the self and of the circumstances that shape our behaviors and emotions. I meet each client where they are, offering a safe, nonjudgmental space to explore their experiences and challenges.

I use evidence-based modalities such as Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT) to help clients reframe negative thought patterns, reduce distress, and foster emotional resilience. I also integrate neurofeedback therapy into my work, which has shown powerful results in alleviating trauma symptoms, improving focus, sleep, and emotional regulation.

Whether you're navigating the aftermath of trauma, struggling with anxiety or depression, or seeking clarity and personal growth, my goal is to support you in discovering your strengths, reclaiming your narrative, and moving toward a more empowered and peaceful life.

What you can expect from our first session

Clients can expect to leave sessions with a deeper understanding of their experiences and a greater sense of empowerment. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard and validated. Through a combination of talk therapy and neurofeedback, clients often experience relief from trauma symptoms, anxiety, depression, and cognitive challenges such as concentration and sleep disturbances.

Sessions focus on helping clients develop practical coping skills, reframe unhelpful thought patterns, and reduce feelings of guilt and shame. Ultimately, clients gain tools to enhance their emotional regulation, build resilience, and improve their overall quality of life. My goal is to support clients in moving from a place of survival to one of healing and thriving.
