Shantrece Cole

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Louisiana and a mental health professional in Texas dedicated to promoting mental health awareness, emotional wellness, and holistic personal growth. Since beginning my career in the mental health field, I have gained experience working with clients in a variety of behavioral health settings.

As a counselor, I provide professional mental health services while emphasizing education, personal development, and emotional well-being. My professional experience includes mental health assessments, treatment planning, clinical documentation, and supporting individuals experiencing a range of mental health concerns.

I also have a strong interest in integrating Christian principles with mental health education. I am pursuing a Ph.D. in Christian Counseling, with research focused on spiritual renewal and overcoming spiritual strongholds. My work reflects a commitment to helping individuals explore emotional, psychological, spiritual, and personal wellness in a thoughtful, educational way.

I utilizes an integrative, person-centered, trauma-informed, and strengths-based therapeutic approach that incorporates evidence-based interventions tailored to each client’s individual needs. When requested by the client, Christian principles and spirituality may be incorporated into treatment to support emotional, psychological, and spiritual wellness.

The first session will consist of listening to the client’s needs, review their intake form, and build the therapeutic relationship, create goals to help them through their situations. I will also try to make the client feel safe and comfortable during the initial session by letting them know that “we are all human” and it's okay to need additional help.
