Great to meet you!

I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with over 23 years of nursing experience dedicated to providing compassionate, culturally responsive, and evidence-based psychiatric care to adolescents and adults. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma-related conditions, ADHD, substance use disorders, and mental health challenges related to immigration, displacement, and exile. My approach is warm, collaborative, nonjudgmental, and solution-focused, allowing clients to feel genuinely heard, supported, and empowered in a safe therapeutic environment. I provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, individualized treatment planning, psychoeducation, and ongoing therapeutic support tailored to each client’s personal experiences, strengths, and goals. I also offer immigration evaluations for asylum and exile cases, as well as support with FMLA and disability documentation when clinically appropriate. With a strong foundation in both psychiatry and nursing, I focus on helping clients achieve meaningful symptom improvement, emotional stability, resilience, and long-term wellness while building a life that feels healthier, more balanced, and more manageable.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is warm, collaborative, and solution-oriented. I work with clients to understand their experiences, identify treatment goals, and develop individualized plans that may include medication management, psychoeducation, and supportive strategies tailored to their needs. I use evidence-based practices and structured symptom monitoring to guide treatment decisions and track progress over time. I support clients experiencing depression, anxiety, mood disorders, trauma-related concerns, and substance use challenges, and I focus on creating a respectful, nonjudgmental space where clients feel empowered and actively involved in their care.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a welcoming, nonjudgmental, and supportive environment during their first session. The initial appointment focuses on getting to know the client as a whole person, including their current concerns, mental health history, medical background, lifestyle factors, stressors, and treatment goals. I take time to listen carefully, answer questions, and ensure clients feel comfortable and heard. Together, we discuss symptoms, explore possible diagnoses, and develop an individualized treatment plan that may include medication management, supportive therapy, coping strategies, and recommendations for ongoing care and support.
