Great to meet you!

Hi, I am Shaqueena, a mother of 4 beautiful daughters (2 adult, 2 teenagers) and a wife to one amazing husband of 16 years. I have worked in a variety of settings, with a variety of different people, which boasts over 12 years of experience of serving individuals in need and seeking assistance. My degree is in Psychology and my specializations are trauma, addiction, and empowerment. If you know anything about the 3, it covers almost everything dealing with mental health and wellness.

My approach to therapy

My style is very much person-centered, which for me, means I go with the flow in terms of meeting my clients where they are. I view my style and approach as very much laid back but very much informational.

What you can expect from me

For our first session, it may feel very much like a Q & A, due to my attempts to get to know you and gather as much information as possible to make a reasonable plan for treatment. But, if you choose to stick around and schedule a follow-up...you commit to an exploration of self and your personal healing journey. We will get more details about how I plan to help you and clarify your goals and expectations. From there, we will have a clear treatment plan that will be tailored specifically for you.
