Great to meet you!

Hi! I'm Sharin, and welcome to Your Evolving Truth Therapies! Finding a therapist can feel overwhelming and I’m glad you are taking this step on the path to where you want to be. I provide individual therapy to people 16+. I named my practice Your Evolving Truth Therapies (YET Therapies) because where you are at right now does not have to be where you stay; there is a lot of power in the word YET! I am an identity-affirming and trauma-informed therapist. My areas of focus include life transitions, stress management, anxiety, depression, and grief and loss.

My approach to therapy

I am a generalist which means I have been trained in various therapeutic approaches. I value curiosity as it helps me learn which approach will work best for you. I incorporate elements of Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, trauma-informed care, and Solution-Focused Therapy. I often bring expressive arts, such as creative writing, art or music, into sessions depending on client preferences. I believe that you are the expert on you and I am there to listen and be fully present with you, explore different perspectives, and teach skills that you can begin using in your every day life.

What you can expect from me

I can support you in gaining a better understanding of yourself, adjusting to changing life circumstances, processing things from the past that may be holding you back from who you want to be, recognizing patterns, or getting out of that place where you feel stuck. Therapy is a safe place where you do not have to be censored, a place to experiment with new ways of thinking, feeling, and being that may feel too risky to try on your own. One of the most powerful experiences in therapy is learning how to trust yourself again and feel confident in your own skin.
