Great to meet you!

As someone who has walked my own healing path, I bring deep empathy, honesty, and compassion into every session. Clients often find me approachable and down-to-earth, with space for both comfort and laughter in the work we do together.

I earned my master’s degree in counseling after returning to school at 39, inspired by my personal journey of healing. Since then, I’ve worked at the Children’s Justice Center and in residential treatment with teen girls, supporting children, adolescents, and adults through trauma recovery. I specialize in trauma-informed care, using evidence-based treatment to address PTSD, depression, anxiety, relationship challenges, and addiction—often a common outcome of trauma.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy works best when it feels like a genuine, supportive relationship. My style is warm, collaborative, and flexible—blending compassion with gentle honesty. Sometimes I provide a steady presence when emotions feel overwhelming, and other times I offer direct feedback to help clients see patterns more clearly.

Along with trauma-informed practices, I use evidence-based treatments such as EMDR, TF-CBT and CFTSI, and integrate tools for easing anxiety and depression, addressing addiction, strengthening relationships, and building healthier coping skills. I meet clients where they are—whether through talk therapy, creative tools like art or mindfulness, or whichever approach feels most comfortable.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect an environment that balances safety, honesty, and even a little playfulness. Together, we’ll set goals that feel realistic and empowering, and I’ll help break them into manageable steps so progress feels possible and sustainable.

For some, this may mean reducing anxiety symptoms, lifting depression, or working through addiction recovery. For others, it may involve improving relationships, creating healthier boundaries, or rediscovering joy. Most importantly, clients leave with new perspectives, practical tools, and a stronger sense of resilience—along with the confidence that real change is possible.
