I am a master's educated, board certified, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). I have a holistic approach to care. Mental health issues cause pain and are just as important as our physical health! I enjoy working with clients of all ages. I am interested in you as a whole person. Together we build a complete picture of your mental, social, & medical history along with current life circumstances in order to formulate accurate diagnoses. Your plan of care will be based on your goals, my education and experience, risks versus benefits of medication, and mutual agreement.
I provide medication management for acute and chronic mental health disorders such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, obsessive compulsive disorder, bipolar disorder, ADHD, and premenstrual dysphoric disorder.
I ask lots of questions! Providing a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation involves understanding your current symptoms as well as past medications and what you have been treated for. I also want to have an overview of your health, family, and a snapshot of who you are socially/culturally. These are all important in determining the best plan of care with you.
