Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Sharol Mejia. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas, and I primarily work with teen girls and adult women navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, and relationship challenges. I’m currently pursuing my PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision, and I bring both clinical training and genuine compassion into my work.

My approach is grounded in warmth, authenticity, and the belief that healing begins when you feel truly seen, supported, and understood. I believe meaningful change often happens in the small “glimmers”—the moments of courage, softness, and growth you allow yourself to experience, even when things feel heavy or uncertain.

My approach to therapy

My approach is integrative and trauma-informed. That means I take time to understand you, your story, and what feels supportive for your nervous system. I draw from evidence-based practices and a strengths-based perspective, always moving at a pace that feels steady and safe.

I believe healing happens through connection, curiosity, and compassion. At times, this may include expressive approaches such as journaling, creative reflection, music, or other forms of expression when words feel limited. Together, we’ll gently explore what you’ve been carrying and work toward greater clarity, self-understanding, and space for growth.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know one another and understanding what brought you to therapy. We’ll talk about what you’re hoping to receive support with, and I’ll ask thoughtful questions to better understand your experiences and what feels most important to you right now.

My intention is to create a calm, grounding space where you can show up as you are—no pressure, no judgment. We’ll move gently and at your pace, allowing room for understanding, softening, and meaningful change to begin unfolding.
