Great to meet you!

I’m Sharon Ballestero, MSW, LCSW-S, TF-CBT Certified, and I believe that therapy should be a safe space to let go, reflect, and heal—without pressure or judgment. I earned my Master of Social Work from the University of Maryland School of Social Work with a focus in Clinical Mental Health, and I’ve been serving individuals and families for nearly 20 years.

My approach to therapy

I provide a safe, supportive space for individuals to explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences without judgment. I take a client-centered approach that meets people where they are while helping them move toward where they want to be. I integrate cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, and trauma-informed care to create personalized treatment plans that reflect each person’s unique needs and goals.

What you can expect from me

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with nearly 2 decades of experience, I am dedicated to helping individuals achieve healing and balance. I work primarily with adults experiencing anxiety, trauma, depression, burnout, or major life transitions. My mission is to empower you to strengthen your coping strategies, build emotional resilience, and experience personal growth in a way that feels real and sustainable. You're not expected to have all the answers—I’m here to walk alongside you as we figure things out together.
