Great to meet you!

My name is Dr. Sharon Campbell‐Newman, and I am a dual‐certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). I bring a unique blend of clinical expertise, leadership experience, and a patient‐centered approach to every aspect of my practice.

My approach to therapy

I provide psychiatric care with a warm, collaborative, and evidence‐based approach. My focus is on creating a safe, non‐judgmental space where clients feel heard and supported. I work closely with each person to understand their symptoms, goals, and lived experiences, integrating medication management with practical therapeutic strategies when appropriate.

I specialize in anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma‐related symptoms, and stress‐related concerns. Clients can expect clear communication, thoughtful guidance, and a holistic perspective that considers emotional, physical, and lifestyle factors. My goal is to help you build insight, strengthen coping skills, and move toward lasting well‐being.

What you can expect from me

During your first session, my focus is on getting to know you, your concerns, your goals, and what brings you to care at this time. We’ll talk through your symptoms, history, and any current stressors in a calm, supportive, and non‐judgmental space. I’ll ask thoughtful questions to help me understand the full picture, but there’s no pressure to share more than you’re ready for.

We’ll also discuss what you’re hoping to achieve, explore treatment options, and decide together on next steps. If medication is something you’re considering, I’ll explain the risks, benefits, and alternatives in clear, accessible language so you can make an informed choice. Many clients say they leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and more grounded about the path forward.

My goal is for you to walk away with a sense of clarity, a plan that feels manageable, and the reassurance that you have a partner in your care.
