Great to meet you!

Growing up in Africa as part of a large family with limited resources, I learned the values of resilience, perseverance, and community. My journey was not without challenges. I struggled with confidence, questioned my worth, and often felt unseen and ignored . Those experiences shaped my understanding of how deeply people need to feel valued, understood, and supported. Today, in my work as a therapist, I strive to create a welcoming, nonjudgmental space where clients feel seen, heard, and respected. Every person carries a unique story and deserves the opportunity to have their story honored with dignity, curiosity, and compassion.

My approach to therapy

Therapy is collaborative and you are never expected to share more than you feel comfortable to sharing . I will meet you where you are and I want my clients to know that am bringing my whole self to the session . When they are in the session my goal is for them to feel seen, known and heard.

My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in practical strategies that help clients feel seen, heard, supported and empowered while meeting the clients where they are . I integrate strengths-based therapy, CBT, motivational interviewing, and DBT-informed skills to support meaningful and sustainable change.

What you can expect from me

The first therapy session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a comfortable, supportive therapeutic relationship. We will discuss what brings you to therapy, your current concerns, personal history, strengths, and goals for treatment.

I will also ask questions about areas such as stressors, relationships, work or family dynamics, coping patterns, mental health history, and supports. This helps me better understand your experiences and determine how I can best support you. I want it to be a collaborative experience where your never expected to share more than you feel comfortable sharing . And the hope is that in the end as you learn my approach you will be able to decide whether the therapeutic relationship feels like a good fit for your needs.
