Great to meet you!

My name is Sharon, and I have been working in the field of social work for more than 30 years. I graduated from Boston College in 1993 and moved to Florida in 1998, where I have continued my work supporting individuals through life’s challenges. I am also a mother of four adult children, which has given me a deep appreciation for the many different transitions and challenges life can bring.

I work with adults ages 18 and older who may be struggling with mental health concerns, addiction, relationships, life changes, or simply the challenges that come with navigating life. I truly enjoy supporting people and helping them identify and work toward the changes they want to make. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered to move forward.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, supportive, and collaborative. I believe therapy is a partnership, and I work with each client to understand where they are, where they want to be, and what steps can help them get there. I use approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, and other techniques based on each client’s individual needs.

Therapy can sometimes be challenging, but you do not have to navigate those challenges alone. I strive to provide the support, guidance, and encouragement needed to help clients understand themselves, work through obstacles, and make meaningful changes at their own pace.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a comfortable, trusting therapeutic relationship. We will talk about what brought you to therapy, what you are currently experiencing, and what you hope to get out of our work together. We will begin identifying your goals and discussing how therapy can best support you.

My goal is for you to feel heard, respected, and comfortable being yourself. Therapy can be challenging, but with the right support, guidance, and patience, we can work through it together. You do not have to have everything figured out before you begin - we can take it one step at a time.
