Great to meet you!

Most of my clients are first-generation adults, BIPOC, and Latinx/Hispanic individuals who are looking to reclaim, or even establish for the first time, their mental well-being. My approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Christian Counseling (if desired/requested), providing a balance of faith-based, practical, and evidence-based tools. Together, we will work to help you gain clarity, break unhelpful patterns, and build a life you feel proud of.

My approach to therapy

Maybe you’ve checked all the boxes-a career, personal achievements, and a life that looks good on paper. Yet behind the scenes, you might feel overwhelmed by anxiety, weighed down by depression, or stuck in patterns shaped by past trauma. You’re ready for change but aren’t sure where to start. That’s where I come in. I will collaborate with you to set goals that support a healthier mindset, help you establish new routines, and create a path toward a more fulfilling life.

I hold a Master of Social Work from Fordham University in NYC and have worked in the social services field for nearly two decades. As a licensed clinician, I can assess, diagnose, and treat mental health conditions. My passion lies in working with those who have or are currently experiencing mental health struggles and are seeking meaningful change. Whether you have a family history of mental health challenges, have endured trauma, or are struggling with everyday stressors, I want you to know that you’re not alone. I have walked similar paths and am a testament to the power of faith, resilience, and grit. Everyone deserves a supportive, judgment-free space to heal and gain clarity on their next steps.

A little about me: I lived in New York for nearly 40 years before moving to Pennsylvania. I share my home with a very active American Hound/Boxer mix and 2 tuxedo cats. My daughter, an aspiring lawyer, recently began her journey at an HBCU. In my free time, I love watching documentaries and reading. I’m an early riser, drawn to nature, and I have a serious sweet tooth!

What you can expect from me

In our sessions, you can expect a collaborative and supportive space where we identify meaningful goals to enhance your mental wellness journey. Together, we will work toward increasing your ability to navigate life’s stressors, fostering a greater sense of happiness, reducing feelings of anxiety and overwhelm, and gaining the clarity you need to move forward in creating a life that aligns with your values and aspirations.

If you’re ready to take the next step, feel free to schedule an intake session here on my calendar. or reach out to me at [email protected] to schedule an appointment. I look forward to working with you!
