Great to meet you!

I am a licensed psychologist in Ohio and New York who has worked in a variety of settings, including health psychology, community mental health, and college counseling. My psychotherapy practice focuses on supporting adults as they navigate challenges that affect their emotional well-being. I specialize in assisting clients with transitions such as changes in family dynamics, emotional distress and coping, romantic relationships, career, educational pursuits, grief and loss, and shifts in personal or loved ones’ health.

My approach to therapy

Recognizing that every individual has unique needs, I employ an integrative approach to psychotherapy. This flexible method combines elements from a variety of therapeutic schools of thought, ensuring that my clients receive personalized care tailored to their circumstances. I consider how environmental factors—such as aspects of your identity and those around you, including race, ethnicity, culture, gender, sexual orientation, ability, religion, and family—might impact your mental health. I approach your journey with sensitivity to these unique influences.

What you can expect from me

It can be difficult to know how to begin moving toward emotional wellbeing. That is why I would collaborate with you to develop a plan that is rooted in your goals and your readiness for change. I enjoy the therapy process the most when "we" do the work together regardless of the type of problem that brought you counseling. You are an expert on yourself and my job is to help you listen better to yourself, to help you find and strengthen your voice, and to identify existing strengths and introduce you to new knowledge and skills that will allow you to live a life that is more authentic to who you are. I believe in humans' capacity for positive growth. So, my ideal client is seeking new ways of being when old ways have become less effective.
