Great to meet you!

My clients should know that I am a compassionate, dedicated, and experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 30 years of experience supporting children, families, and adults through a wide range of life challenges. I believe in meeting each client exactly where they are, creating a safe, nonjudgmental, and culturally sensitive space where they feel heard, respected, and empowered. My approach is collaborative and strengths-based — I see therapy as a partnership where we work together to build on what’s already strong while addressing the areas that need support.

I am bilingual (English and Spanish) and have extensive experience in working with families and individuals with navigating a diagnosis, autism support, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and pre- and post-bariatric care. Whether I’m helping a parent navigate services for their child or supporting an adult through emotional and behavioral changes, my goal is always to help you feel supported, understood, and equipped with practical strategies to improve your quality of life. Most importantly, I want you to know that your voice matters — and I will walk beside you every step of the way.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and individualized. I believe that every client is the expert of their own life, and my role is to provide support, guidance, and practical tools to help them reach their goals. I draw from a strengths-based and person-centered framework, integrating evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), behavioral interventions, and mindfulness strategies, while always tailoring my approach to meet each client’s unique needs and cultural background.

I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings openly. Whether I’m working with parents navigating the challenges of raising a neurodivergent child, individuals coping with anxiety or depression, or adults adjusting to major life changes such as bariatric surgery, I focus on building resilience, enhancing communication, and fostering positive behavioral change. My approach emphasizes collaboration, empowerment, and practical strategies that clients can apply in their daily lives to create meaningful and lasting change.

What you can expect from me

During your first session with me, you can expect a welcoming, compassionate, and judgment-free environment where you are encouraged to be yourself. My priority is to create a space where you feel safe, heard, and understood from the very beginning. We will spend time getting to know each other, exploring what brings you to therapy, and identifying your goals and hopes for our work together.

You’ll notice that I take a collaborative and gentle approach, moving at a pace that feels comfortable for you. I understand that starting therapy can feel overwhelming or even intimidating, so I focus on building trust and connection right away. Many clients share that they leave their first session feeling relieved, supported, and more hopeful about the path ahead. Above all, you’ll know that you’re not alone — we’re in this together, and I’m here to guide and support you every step of the way.
