Great to meet you!

I specialize in EMDR, which is a mind-body psychotherapy. I bring in my expertise and experience in supporting people recovering from childhood abuse and coping with a wide range of stressors, anxiety, difficult relationships, phobias, panic, etc. I tap into my past experiences working in hospice and grief to support caregivers and individuals going through difficult grieving experiences.

My approach to therapy

As an EMDR therapist, I believe you are already fully equipped to heal and find well-being. My role is to help you uncover and access those innate qualities. Emotions are stored in the body, so we tap into the connection between the mind and body to help you regain your sense of self and get back to a flow state. I take a positive, collaborative, experiential approach to therapy.

What you can expect from me

First sessions are focused on getting to know each other and building connection, while getting background information and history that will help us with treatment. We'll set goals for therapy, and I like to start giving some grounding tools in the first session when possible, so that clients start to learn the language we use in a mind-body approach, and so you will have something to take home and start to practice.
