Great to meet you!

I've been doing this work for over 26 years — and what still drives me is the moment something starts to shift for a client. I'm a supervisor-level Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW-S) based in Ohio, and I've spent most of my career in community mental health, which means I've worked with a wide range of people in a wide range of circumstances: trauma, depression, anxiety, neurodivergence, grief, bipolar disorder, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. I work with teens, adults, couples, and families — and I offer virtual sessions across Ohio, so distance is never a barrier. My rate is $100/session, and I accept Aetna, Anthem BlueCross BlueShield, Carelon Behavioral Health, Cigna, and The Health Plan. Sliding scale is available for those who may qualify.

My approach to therapy

I draw from CBT, trauma-focused CBT, narrative therapy, solution-focused approaches, cognitive processing therapy, and strength-based methods. In practice, that means I match my tools to what you need — not the other way around. I'm not going to spend months on background before we address what's happening right now. We'll set real goals early, check in on progress honestly, and adjust when something isn't working. I believe the best therapy is a genuine collaboration: you bring the expertise on your own life; I bring 26 years of training and a clear set of skills. That partnership is where the work actually happens.

What you can expect from me

The first session is a real conversation, not a checklist. We'll talk about what brought you in, what you've tried before, and what you'd like things to look like when things are better. I'll ask questions, but there's nothing you need to cover before you're ready. By the end of that first session, you'll have a clearer sense of whether working together feels right — and so will I. If it does, we'll map out a direction and get to work. If it doesn't, I'll do my best to point you somewhere that fits better. My goal from day one is to be useful, not just present.
