Great to meet you!

I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP). I work with individuals from diverse backgrounds, providing a compassionate, collaborative, and strengths-based approach to counseling.

I utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to each client’s individual needs, experiences, and goals. My clinical approach incorporates modalities including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Through an individualized and integrative approach, I support clients in processing difficult experiences, developing healthier patterns of thinking and behavior, strengthening emotional regulation and coping skills, and creating meaningful, sustainable change.

My goal is to create a safe and supportive therapeutic environment where clients feel empowered to recognize their strengths, overcome barriers, and move toward greater self-awareness, resilience, and optimal functioning.

My approach to therapy

My practice is grounded in the belief that individuals possess unique strengths, abilities, and resources that can support meaningful growth and change. I work collaboratively with clients to identify and build upon these strengths while addressing personal obstacles, developing effective coping strategies, and working toward greater overall functioning and well-being. My goal is to empower each individual to move toward their personal goals and create meaningful, sustainable change in their lives.

What you can expect from me

The first therapy session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a trusting, collaborative therapeutic relationship. During the initial intake, we will discuss what brings you to counseling, your current concerns, and any experiences or circumstances that may be impacting your well-being.

Together, we will begin identifying your strengths, needs, and goals for therapy. I believe that you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to provide support, guidance, and evidence-based interventions to help you navigate challenges and build upon the strengths you already possess.

The first session may include discussion of your personal history, relationships, current functioning, coping strategies, and previous experiences with counseling or treatment. We will also discuss what you hope to accomplish through therapy and begin developing a plan that is individualized to your needs and goals.

Most importantly, the first session is a chance to determine whether we are a good therapeutic fit. You are welcome to ask questions, share your preferences, and let me know what helps you feel comfortable and supported. Therapy is a collaborative process, and we will work together at a pace that feels appropriate for you.
