Specializes in

Depression and Stress

Great to meet you!

I specialize in supporting adults and teens navigating the complex emotional landscape of adoption. Adoption-related trauma is a deeply personal and often profound journey that can significantly shape an adoptee’s sense of identity. With over twenty years of experience as a psychotherapist—particularly within specialized school settings—I bring a deep understanding of the therapeutic needs of adolescents, many of whom face challenges related to learning differences and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

A bit about my approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is rooted in creating a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space. I incorporate humor and a holistic, client-centered perspective, honoring your autonomy and walking alongside you throughout the process. I believe that a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship is the foundation for meaningful and effective therapy.

What you can expect from our first session

Sometimes, just having someone to talk to can make a big difference. Other times, learning ways to cope with stress can be a powerful part of growing and healing. Reaching out for therapy can feel a little scary at first, but it’s a strong and meaningful step toward taking care of yourself. We’ll walk this path together—with compassion, curiosity, and care—as we explore your adoption story, work through old wounds, and help you build a stronger sense of who you are and where you belong.
