Great to meet you!

Hi! I'm Shaun Hardie, LMHC

I help people learn to unhook from unhelpful thoughts, get unstuck, and to learn to live more fully in the here-and-now.

Too often, we get so caught up struggling with our own minds that we forget to actually live our lives. I’m here to help you show up for the people and things that mean the most to you.

Here’s a little about my personal and professional background to give you a sense of how I can help.

I’ve always been drawn to helping people navigate life’s challenges. It’s not just about offering support but also about exploring the deeper "why" behind our struggles—what drives our actions, thoughts, and feelings. When we uncover these patterns, we can start to make real, lasting changes, choosing a life aligned with what truly matters.

For over a decade, I’ve walked alongside people in their most difficult moments—whether as a counselor, a minister, or simply someone who understands what it feels like to be stuck. I know what it’s like to wrestle with anxiety, stress, and the heaviness of life. There were times when I felt overwhelmed and unsure of the way forward. Those experiences shaped me into the person and professional I am today.

My approach to therapy

In my work, I’m deeply rooted in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), an approach that’s as much about embracing life’s messiness as it is about building something meaningful from it. I’ve seen firsthand how learning to accept what’s out of your control—and taking committed, values-driven action—can transform lives. It’s not about fixing yourself; it’s about finding yourself and moving forward with courage and purpose.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a supportive, engaging, and practical approach to therapy that helps them navigate challenges with clarity and purpose. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to take meaningful steps toward personal growth. I integrate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients develop psychological flexibility—learning to accept difficult emotions, distance from unhelpful thoughts, and take values-driven action.

Sessions with me will provide practical tools for managing anxiety, stress, relationships, and life transitions. You will learn skills to handle difficult thoughts and emotions effectively, build resilience, and cultivate a sense of meaning in your life. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, anger, or personal growth, our work together will focus on actionable steps that bring lasting change.

I also bring a warm, down-to-earth approach and integrate faith-based perspectives for those who desire it. Clients often leave sessions feeling more grounded, equipped with strategies to handle life’s challenges, and ready to move forward with confidence.
