Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Shauna, a licensed clinical social worker dedicated to supporting individuals on their journey towards wellness and self discovery. With a master's degree in clinical social work and 7 + years of experience in the field, I am passionate about helping clients navigate life’s challenges and cultivate resilience.

My approach to therapy is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and evidence-based practices. I specialize in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Trauma informed CBT, EMDR, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based interventions, empowering clients to develop effective coping strategies and build healthier thought patterns. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, I provide a safe and nonjudgemental space for healing and growth.

I believe in the inherent strength and resilience of every individual, and my goal is to support you in uncovering your strengths and achieving your goals. I am committed to creating a therapeutic alliance based on trust, respect, and compassion, where you can feel seen, heard, and understood.

In addition to my clinical work, I am actively involved in ongoing professional development and stay on top of the latest research and advancements in mental health. I am a member of the NASW, dedicated to upholding the highest standards of ethical practice.

Outside of my work as a therapist, I enjoy spending time with my fiancée, 2 dogs, and 1 cat. I enjoy watching Netflix, gardening, learning calligraphy, reading, and all outdoor activities. My hobbies and interests help inform my holistic approach to wellness and self-care. Whether you are seeking support for personal growth, navigating life transitions, or overcoming challenges, I am here to walk alongside you on your journey towards healing and wholeness.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, and focused on creating a safe space where clients feel supported and understood. I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship stress, grief/loss, OCD, addictions, and life transitions. Using evidence-based approaches such as CBT, DBT, ACT, EMDR, and trauma-informed care, I help clients develop practical coping skills, increase self-awareness, and process underlying experiences at a pace that feels comfortable. My goal is to help clients feel more emotionally balanced, confident, and empowered in their daily lives.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a supportive and nonjudgmental environment where we focus on getting to know you and understanding what brings you to therapy. We will discuss your current concerns, important background information, and what you hope to gain from treatment. Together, we will identify your goals and begin creating a plan that feels realistic and meaningful to you. My goal is to help you feel comfortable, heard, and supported while also giving you a clear sense of direction and next steps for your care.
