Great to meet you!

Some individuals, couples, or families come to me seeking help navigating relationship challenges, communication struggles, and painful estrangement rooted in differing perspectives, worldviews, or complicated experiences. Attachment styles and relational patterns that shape how we connect, communicate, and experience intimacy are often part of our conversations. Some seek sex therapy to explore concerns around sexuality, intimacy, relationship diversity, and LGBTQIA+ lived experiences, while others seek support in healing from complex trauma, managing anxiety and depression, navigating grief and loss, or simply finding a safe listening ear as they find their footing through life’s deeper questions of meaning, purpose, and connection.

My approach to therapy

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Washington and a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (LAMFT) in the state of Idaho. I hold a Sex Therapy certification from the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT) nationwide, and 6+ decades of lived experience that have deepened my understanding of the complexities of being human, the challenges we face in relationships, and the many paths toward healing, growth, and connection.

My therapeutic approach is collaborative, down-to-earth, straightforward, and practical. I have a variety of approaches that I use in therapy, but as an experiential therapist, I lean toward a person-centered, attachment-based, and trauma-informed perspective incorporating somatic awareness and an understanding of the nervous system. I believe meaningful change begins with feeling safe enough to explore our experiences, understand the patterns that shape our relationships, and reconnect with parts of ourselves that may have been set aside in order to survive. I work collaboratively, grounded in compassion, curiosity, and practical support that honors your unique needs.

What you can expect from me

I believe you deserve a space where you can show up as you are, without judgment or the pressure to have all the answers. I welcome the messiness of your human experience, including the parts of yourself and your relationships that can feel difficult to understand, talk about, or share with others. My intention is to meet you where you are, help you make sense of your experiences, and offer practical tools and a fresh perspective as you find your way toward deepened awareness. If you find yourself longing for healing, trust that something within you is already moving toward it.
