Great to meet you!
Hey, my name is Shawdyah Fuselier. I have been a licensed professional counselor since 2021. I received a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice with a minor in sociology from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2011. I then proceeded to receive my master’s degree in professional counseling at Grand Canyon University in 2018. I have worked in various diverse mental health settings such as substance abuse rehabilitation/short-term, long-term adolescent facility, MHR/ outpatient program, and individual/group settings. Within those settings, I have held administrative positions including clinical supervisor and educational director. A focus of my work has been anxiety and depression management, helping clients develop healthy coping strategies and relaxation techniques, building self-identity and self-confidence, taking steps toward recovery, and healing from traumatic events. I believe therapy is a process of rediscovering self, clarity, purpose, and joy, and I hope to provide a safe, trusting place to guide you through life’s adversities while creating a better quality of life.
