Great to meet you!

My journey into mental health care is personal—I grew up understanding what it feels like to face difficult experiences, feel alone, and not always have the support you need. Over more than 30 years in healthcare, from working as a paramedic to becoming a critical care nurse, educator, and board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I have seen how deeply emotional well-being affects every part of a person’s life. Those experiences shaped the provider I am today: compassionate, nonjudgmental, and committed to creating a safe space where children, adolescents, and adults can feel heard, understood, and supported as they work toward healing.

My approach to therapy

I believe the best care begins with truly listening and creating a space where you feel safe, respected, and never judged. My approach is trauma-informed, which means I recognize that past experiences can shape how we think, feel, cope, and connect with others, and I will never define you by what you have been through. We will work together at a pace that feels comfortable, building on your strengths and creating a treatment plan that helps you feel heard, supported, empowered, and hopeful about what comes next.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a conversation, not an interrogation. I will take the time to listen to your story, understand what brought you to care, and learn about the experiences, challenges, and goals that are most important to you. Using a compassionate, trauma-informed approach, we will move at a comfortable pace and begin creating a treatment plan together so you leave feeling heard, supported, and clear about the next steps.
