Great to meet you!

Great to meet you! I bring sixteen years of experience as a therapist, with training in marriage and family therapy and clinical psychology, and I’m licensed in multiple states as an LMFT while working toward clinical psychologist licensure. I’ve worked in a wide range of settings supporting individuals, couples, families, and students. I’m especially passionate about helping people navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, racial/cultural trauma, and stress. I aim to create a calm, supportive space where you can feel understood and move toward lasting change.

My approach to therapy

I take a whole-person approach, considering how your life experiences, identity, and environment shape your wellbeing. I draw from cognitive-behavioral therapy, family systems work, and Black/African-centered perspectives to support growth and healing, but not exclusively. My goal is to use the approaches that best fit who you are and what you need.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, clients can expect a calm, welcoming space where we focus on what brings them in and what they hope to change. I take time to understand their experiences, identity, and environment so I can get a full picture of what they’re navigating. Together, we’ll set a few initial goals and talk about what support might look like moving forward. My aim is for clients to leave that first meeting feeling heard, understood, and hopeful about the path ahead.

Please note: I am not currently accepting couples for couples counseling.

I will start two groups in mid-May of 2026: A 12-week anger management group and an 8-week Black racial trauma group. Please schedule an initial appointment to learn more and to participate in these groups.
