Great to meet you!

I believe therapy works best when it feels less like an appointment and more like sitting down with someone who really gets you. My style is warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative, and I'll always meet you where you are rather than where anyone thinks you "should" be.

I specialize in working with people navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, and the relationships that shape our lives. I also support clients through a wide range of experiences, including PTSD, ADHD, OCD, bipolar disorder, infertility, stress, identity exploration, women's issues, LGBTQ+ concerns, and family challenges. Wherever you're starting from, my goal is to help you feel understood and a little less alone in it.

And because you'll probably hear about them eventually: I'm a devoted dog lover, and my pups keep me grounded, patient, and reminded daily that showing up—messy fur and all—is enough. If you ever spot a dog hair on my sweater in session, now you know why.

My approach to therapy

I don't take a one-size-fits-all approach, because you're not one-size-fits-all. I draw from a range of evidence-based methods and tailor them to what actually fits your life and goals.

Depending on what you need, we might explore how your past shapes your present through psychodynamic and attachment-based work, build practical coping tools with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), or process difficult experiences using Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). I also lean into strength-based and solution-focused approaches, because I firmly believe you already carry more resilience and wisdom than you often give yourself credit for.

For families and couples, I offer structural family therapy, attachment-based family work, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), and solution-focused and behavioral couples work to help you reconnect and communicate in ways that feel genuine. However we work together, the throughline is the same: honest, compassionate, and rooted in real change you can feel.

What you can expect from me

First sessions can feel a little nerve-wracking, and that's completely normal. There's no pressure to have it all figured out or to say the "right" thing. Our first meeting is really just a chance to get to know each other.

We'll talk about what brought you in, what's been weighing on you, and what you're hoping to get out of therapy. I'll ask some questions to understand your story, but you're always in the driver's seat about how much you share and how quickly. Mostly, I want you to leave that first session feeling heard, comfortable, and hopeful that this is a space where things can get better.

Think of it as the beginning of a partnership. My job is to make it feel safe enough to be honest, and human enough that you actually look forward to coming back.
