Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who believes you shouldn’t have to have everything figured out before coming to therapy. I work with adults and couples navigating anxiety, PTSD and trauma, emotional regulation difficulties, toxic or unhealthy relationships, narcissistic abuse, major life transitions, stress, overwhelm, and the sometimes-messy transition into adulthood. I also specialize in helping clients build healthier boundaries, become more confident and assertive in their relationships, recognize unhealthy patterns, and learn to advocate for their needs without losing themselves in the process.

I earned my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Keiser University and bring a warm, genuine, down-to-earth presence to my work. My space is neurodivergent-friendly and very much “come as you are”—and when the moment allows, there’s room for lighthearted humor and laughter, too.

My approach to therapy

Therapy with me is a conversation, not an interrogation—and you won’t find me simply sitting silently while you wonder what you’re supposed to say next. I’m engaged, curious, and collaborative. Part of our work may involve connecting the dots between your present and your past—exploring how earlier experiences, relationships, and learned ways of coping may still be influencing how you see yourself, respond emotionally, and navigate relationships today.

But understanding the “why” is only part of the work. I also want to help you figure out what to do with that understanding. Together, we may work on regulating difficult emotions, recognizing unhealthy relationship patterns, setting healthier boundaries, communicating your needs, and becoming more confident and assertive without feeling like you have to become harsh or confrontational.

And while therapy can involve serious and vulnerable conversations, I don’t believe every minute has to feel heavy. There’s room for warmth, personality, and some lighthearted humor along the way. We’ll find an approach that works for you, your personality, your brain, and your life.

What you can expect from me

You don’t need to know exactly what to say or where to begin. You can bring the long version, the short version, the “I don’t even know what’s wrong—I just know I’m overwhelmed” version, or the story with seventeen side stories along the way. I can work with that.

Our first session is about getting to know you as a person, not just a list of symptoms. We’ll talk about what brought you in, what life has been like lately, what feels difficult, and what you would like to be different. We may begin noticing patterns—where you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, unheard, struggling to set boundaries, or finding it difficult to express what you really need.

You don’t have to organize everything perfectly before you get here. I’ll help guide the conversation, and together we’ll figure out where it makes sense to begin. My hope is that you leave feeling heard, understood, comfortable being yourself, and hopeful that things can actually get better.
