Great to meet you!

My name is Shea, it's great to meet you! In the decade or so I've been a counselor I've built a specialty in offering trauma therapy for neurodivergent adults and adults living with disability/chronic illness. My approach is rooted in creating a safe, equitable, accessible space for people of all backgrounds—including for members of the 2SLGBTQ+ community.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My niche as a therapist is adapting evidence based treatment modalities to make them more accessible. We can build coping skills even if your neurodivergent brain doesn't know what you're feeling. We can do EMDR even if you cannot move your eyes. Therapy can, and should, be entirely accessible to you.

What you can expect from our first session

My goal each session is to provide you a comfortable space to pause and reflect on your journey, strengths, and needs. To paraphrase bell hooks, healing happens through telling our story and through gathering together all of the skills and resources available to us. My hope is to provide space for your story to be heard and for new skills to be built.
