Great to meet you!

I’m Dr. Sattari, a licensed psychologist with a PhD in Clinical Psychology and a background in neuroscience. My interest in how the brain and nervous system respond to stress and trauma has deeply shaped the way I work with people. I specialize in supporting adults who are healing from trauma, PTSD, and the long-term effects of difficult life experiences.

I understand that reaching out for therapy—especially around trauma—can feel vulnerable. Many of the people I work with have spent years trying to manage on their own before deciding they’re ready for support. My goal is to offer a steady, non-judgmental space where you can feel safe to explore what’s been weighing on you. I believe healing is possible at any stage, and I’m committed to walking alongside you with patience and respect.

My approach to therapy

My approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, and integrative. I don’t believe there’s one right way to heal, so I tailor the work to what feels most helpful and manageable for you. I draw from evidence-based modalities while also incorporating body-based and nervous system-focused tools when appropriate.

Depending on your needs, this may include neurofeedback to help regulate the nervous system, psychomotor and somatic approaches to gently process experiences held in the body, and other research-supported therapeutic methods. We’ll work together to build emotional safety, develop practical tools for regulation, and explore the patterns that may be keeping you stuck. My hope is to help you feel more grounded, connected to yourself, and empowered to move forward in a way that feels authentic and sustainable

What you can expect from me

The first session is meant to be a gentle and low-pressure starting point. We’ll spend time getting to know each other, and I’ll invite you to share what’s been going on and what you’re hoping for in therapy. There’s no expectation that you dive into painful details right away — we can move as slowly as you need.

I’ll also share a bit about how I work so you can get a sense of whether it feels like a good fit. My main goal for this first meeting is for you to feel heard, respected, and a little more at ease. Many people leave the first session with a sense of relief just from having someone truly listen without judgment. You’re welcome to ask questions, and we’ll decide together how we might move forward from there.
