Great to meet you!

Hello, my name is Sheena. Currently, I have a Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from University of the Cumberlands. I have over 12 years of experience working in the mental health field. I am a Licensed Drug and Alcohol Counselor (LCADC). I am experienced in working with the addicted population in both inpatient and outpatient settings, I have worked in medically assisted treatment (MAT), incarcerated individuals, families and children, and also with individuals in residential settings with mental health diagnoses.

My approach to therapy

I believe that empathy is a core foundational component of the counseling relationship. It is important to me that the Individuals I serve feel important, heard, and understood. I believe that we can better manage our individual challenges in life by reclaiming and/or changing our thoughts and behaviors. It is my goal in counseling to assist each client in achieving this.

What you can expect from me

It is my goal to create an empathic, compassionate, supportive, and safe counseling environment. Clients can expect be to be assisted along their healing journey by allowing me listen while assessing their needs. We will work collaboratively to develop the best plan to address these needs using skills and strengths the client already possesses.
