Great to meet you!

When you're already carrying anxiety, depression, or something harder to name, the last thing you need is a provider who makes you feel like a chart number. I'm Sheena, an energetic, warm, and open-minded psychiatric nurse practitioner who believes treatment works best when you're genuinely part of it. I create a nonjudgmental space where you can ask questions, share concerns, and participate in decisions about your care, because that's how lasting change actually happens.

My approach to therapy

My professional background includes providing psychiatric care in a variety of healthcare settings, with experience evaluating, diagnosing, and treating a range of mental health concerns. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, ADHD, trauma-related concerns, sleep difficulties, and other psychiatric conditions. My treatment approach includes comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, ongoing symptom monitoring, and education to help clients better understand their mental health and treatment options.

I earned my advanced nursing education and specialized training in psychiatric-mental health care, building upon my nursing experience and commitment to supporting individuals through different stages of their mental health journey. I value collaboration and believe treatment works best when clients feel comfortable asking questions, expressing concerns, and participating in decisions about their care.

What you can expect from me

Your first visit is a full psychiatric evaluation: I'll ask about your history, current symptoms, medications you've tried, and what day-to-day life looks like for you right now. I listen more than I prescribe in that first session. You'll leave with a clear sense of next steps, an open invitation to ask any question that's been sitting with you, and the feeling that someone finally took the time to understand your situation.
