Great to meet you!

As someone who moved from Sri Lanka to the U.S. as a young adult, I understand firsthand the complexities of acculturation and identity development. I draw on my own lived experience to help clients navigate cultural stressors and find a sense of belonging and self-acceptance.

I’m a mother of two toddlers and a bonus mother to two teenagers, which gives me a deep appreciation for the joys and challenges of parenting across different life stages. Raised in the Buddhist tradition and now identifying as more spiritual, I welcome the integration of mindfulness and spiritual exploration into our work—if that resonates with you.

Above all, my goal is to meet you where you are and tailor the therapeutic process in a way that feels meaningful, relevant, and empowering to you.

My approach to therapy

I take an integrative approach to therapy that is person-centered, directive, and grounded in authenticity. I work with individuals, couples, families, children, and adolescents from diverse cultural and generational backgrounds. My areas of specialization include relationships, depression, anxiety, trauma, codependency, self-esteem and identity, grief and loss, family conflict, and life transitions—both major and minor. I also have a strong focus on 1st and 2nd generation experiences, helping clients navigate the complexities of cultural identity and intergenerational dynamics. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered to grow.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to leave sessions feeling supported, understood, and empowered. My approach is collaborative and tailored to each individual’s unique needs, values, and goals. Together, we work to build insight, develop coping strategies, and foster emotional resilience. I aim to help clients deepen their self-awareness, strengthen their relationships, and navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity and confidence.

Whether we’re exploring identity, healing from trauma, or working through anxiety, depression, or grief, I strive to create a space where growth feels possible and meaningful. Clients often tell me they appreciate the warmth, cultural sensitivity, and genuine care I bring to our work—and that they feel safe to show up as their full selves.
