Great to meet you!

I’m a bilingual English and Farsi Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist working with individuals and couples across California via telehealth. I work with people navigating anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, relationship issues, work stress, and the particular weight of holding multiple cultural identities at once. I'm in-network with Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross, Blue Shield of California, Carelon, and Cigna, so many clients find that their insurance covers our sessions. If you've ever put therapy off because of cost or logistics, telehealth and insurance access together are designed to remove those barriers.

My approach to therapy

I use evidence based approaches, including cognitive behavioral, trauma informed, and attachment based models, Gottman Method for relationships, DBT skills, and narrative approaches depending on what you need. I don't believe in a formula — I pay close attention to what's actually showing up for you and adjust as we go. I focus on identifying patterns, what’s contributing to current stress and how to shift it in a practical way.

Expect our sessions to be collaborative and grounded. I'll notice things you might not notice in yourself. I'll ask questions that go a level deeper and help you build strategies that actually fit your life — your culture, your relationships, your specific situation. I won't hand you a generic worksheet and call it treatment.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a real conversation — not an intake form brought to life. I'll ask you what's bringing you in and what you're hoping to change, and I'll listen carefully — not just to what you say, but to what sits underneath it.

I'll share my observations honestly and give you a clear sense of how I'd approach our work together. You don't need to have everything figured out before you show up. Most people leave the first session feeling heard in a way they haven't been in a while — and with a clearer sense of where we'd start.
