Great to meet you!

I've been a licensed clinical social worker for 26 years, and what I've learned in that time is that the approach that works for one person can feel completely wrong for another. So I don't use a one-size-fits-all model. I draw on CBT, ACT, and mindfulness tools — but more importantly, I adapt them to you: your pace, your goals, and what you're actually navigating. I see individual adults and couples virtually across New York, and I keep evening and weekend hours open deliberately because most people can't step away from work or family in the middle of a Tuesday afternoon. I'm paneled with Aetna, Cigna, Anthem, Carelon, and Providence, and a sliding scale is available for those paying out of pocket.

My approach to therapy

I think of therapy as a collaboration. My job is to really understand what's going on with you, then work alongside you to shift it. I draw on CBT when we need to examine thought patterns that have become automatic, ACT when we're working with difficult feelings that aren't going anywhere fast, and solution-focused approaches when progress is the most important thing in the room. I'm a big believer in practical tools you can use outside of sessions — not just insights, but things to actually try. I adjust the approach as we go.

What you can expect from me

It is a big step to reach out for help. Our first session will be focused on me listening to you, exploring what brings you to counseling and what areas you would like to work on. We will formulate a road map for future sessions based around your goals and needs.
