Great to meet you!

I am Dr. Sheila Adams Hart, a Washington State licensed psychologist since 2009. I am currently in private practice and have extensive experience helping individuals work through challenges affecting their relationships, careers, and sense of self. I hold both a Master’s and Doctorate degree from the Harvard School of Education and have spent many years supporting clients in making meaningful, lasting change.

My approach to therapy

My approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), with a focus on helping clients identify and shift patterns of thinking and behavior that may be limiting their lives. A key part of my work involves building the capacity for empathy-based communication, which supports deeper understanding of both self and others. This process often strengthens relationships and enhances emotional clarity and personal growth.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, clients can expect a thoughtful and supportive conversation where we begin to understand current concerns, personal goals, and what may be getting in the way of progress. We will start identifying patterns and clarifying what you hope to change or improve. The initial session is also an opportunity to determine whether working together feels like a good fit and to begin building a clear direction for our work together.
