Sheila Hoffman

Sheila Hoffman is a well-trained, experienced psychologist who has a background in cognitive behavioral as well as psychodynamic psychotherapy with adults. She strives to be sensitive to the needs of the client and to create an environment that is warm and welcoming. Her areas of expertise include anxiety, depression, relationships, loss, grief, Post-traumatic Stress.

Interpersonal. I am trained in both psychodynamic psychotherapy and cognitive behavioral therapy. However, I am flexible and base my approach on the needs of the client.

During the first session I usually take a careful history and then ask the client what brings them to therapy at this time. I try to create a welcoming environment and together we establish therapeutic goals.
