Great to meet you!

I have been in private practice for 30 plus years as a Licensed Professional Counselor and Board Certified Biofeedback Clinician. My work is unique as I incorporate when requested and appropriate, Biofeedback techniques (psychophysiology) to teach self-regulation and facilitate somatic release. Many of my clients come to me because they have begun to see how their emotional "dis-regulation" is now impacting them physically. (Headaches, sleep issues, heart racing, depressed energy and so on).

A bit about my approach to therapy

My work with clients revolves around the truth that we are all born perfect and worthy of love. Our childhood experiences may have taught us that closing off our heart is safer. We may hold core beliefs about ourselves such as: “I am worthless/unworthy of love”, “people I love and care about will leave me” and so on. Clients learn to have an on-going dialogue with their heart, mind and body allowing for deeper insight, self- awareness and connection with themselves and the world around them.

What you can expect from our first session

Perhaps you are in a stressful place in your life and feeling controlled by your emotions such as shame, depression, inability to focus or anger. Know that you are not alone! My clients typically feel better after their first session and say, "wow, just having this hour to share my struggles, feel heard and seen has made a huge difference".
