Great to meet you!

Hello! I’m a bilingual English/Spanish therapist. I work with children, teens, adults, couples, and families, supporting clients through anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, self-esteem, family dynamics, and life transitions.

My professional background includes working with clients across different stages of life and helping individuals and families navigate emotional, relational, and life challenges. I earned my Masters in Clinical Psychology from The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and have continued my professional training in approaches that allow me to tailor therapy to each client’s individual needs.

My style is warm, compassionate, and collaborative, while also encouraging deeper reflection and meaningful change. I believe therapy should be a space where you can show up as you are and feel genuinely heard and understood. In our work together, we may explore past experiences, relationships, attachment patterns, thoughts, emotions, and behaviors to better understand what may be influencing your life today. I also help clients develop practical coping skills, strengthen boundaries, improve relationships, and build greater confidence and self-understanding.

I draw from evidence-based approaches including CBT, DBT, EMDR, person-centered, and existential therapy, depending on your needs and goals. As a bilingual therapist, I provide therapy in both English and Spanish and strive to create a culturally responsive and welcoming environment where clients from diverse backgrounds feel comfortable being themselves.

Above all, I want you to know that therapy does not have to look the same for everyone. We will work together to find an approach that feels meaningful to you and supports the healing, connection, and growth you are seeking.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy is most effective when it feels collaborative, individualized, and grounded in a strong therapeutic relationship. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach, so I tailor our work to your needs, experiences, goals, and pace.

My approach balances insight with practical tools. Together, we may explore how past experiences, relationships, attachment patterns, thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are influencing what you are experiencing today. I also help clients recognize patterns, develop healthier coping strategies, strengthen boundaries, improve communication, and build a greater sense of self-awareness and confidence.

I integrate evidence-based approaches including CBT, DBT, EMDR, person-centered, and existential therapy. Depending on what brings you to therapy, our work may involve processing difficult experiences, challenging unhelpful thought patterns, learning emotional regulation skills, exploring relationship dynamics, or developing new ways of responding to situations that have left you feeling stuck.

Most importantly, I strive to create a space where you feel safe enough to be honest, curious, and fully yourself. I will meet you where you are while gently challenging and supporting you as we work toward meaningful and lasting change.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a foundation for our work together. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, what has been going on in your life, and what you hope to gain from our time together. I may also ask about your background, relationships, current stressors, strengths, and previous experiences with therapy to better understand you as a whole person.

You don’t have to come in knowing exactly what to say or where to begin. We’ll take things at a pace that feels comfortable, and there is no expectation that you share everything in the first session. I want you to have space to ask questions, get a sense of my approach, and determine whether we feel like a good fit.

By the end of our first few sessions, we’ll begin identifying your goals and developing a plan for therapy that reflects what is most important to you. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, understood, and with a clearer sense of how we can move forward together.
