Sheilah Cameron is a wife and mother of 3. She is also Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Director of the New Life Counseling Center and is a clinical supervisor for associate therapists.

TRAINING

Sheilah has gained 60+ hours of training in the areas of sexual assault and domestic violence with the Center for Community Solutions Sexual Assault Response Team.

Sheilah has been trained by The Rock Church to provide Pre-Marital Counseling and Christian Counseling.

EXPERIENCE

Sheilah has worked as a Personal Counselor for a private university in San Diego, CA.

Sheilah has also worked as a School-Based Therapist in The Cajon Valley School District. There she collaborated with high-risk students, parents, and administration to address social, emotional and academic needs.

Sheilah has facilitated court-approved co-parenting and anger management groups at First Avenue Counseling Center and Therapy Connection.

Sheilah is passionate about working with diverse populations. She is dedicated to understanding how cultural and inter-generational experiences play a key role in shaping one’s understanding of themselves and others, specifically that of the Asian-American/ Filipino-American experience.

Sheilah’s clinical focus has been on stress management, perinatal and maternal mental health, work stress, spirituality, anxiety, depression, grief and young-adult issues.
