Great to meet you!

I’m Shelan Meheux, PMHNP-BC, a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I know how hard it can be to hold everything together when you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or just not like yourself. My goal is to make this process feel easier and more human. I provide a safe, understanding space where you can talk openly, feel supported, and start finding your way back to balance and peace of mind.

My passion for mental health care began during the pandemic, when I saw how deeply it affected people’s lives long after the crisis ended. I’ve worked in healthcare since 2008, but I found my true calling in mental health where care is most patient and personal. I’m committed to helping individuals heal and regain balance through compassion, patience, and understanding.

My approach to therapy

I believe everyone’s story is different, so your care should be too. My approach is calm, caring, and practical, focused on understanding what you’re going through and helping you take steps that actually work for your life. We will go at your pace, and I’ll be with you every step of the way.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is simply a chance to breathe, talk, and be heard. We will take our time getting to know each other, discuss what’s been going on, and come up with a plan that feels right for you. Most people say they leave feeling lighter, and that’s exactly where healing begins.
