Great to meet you!

My name is Shelby Baldwin, and I am a compassionate therapist dedicated to supporting individuals as they navigate life’s challenges and work toward healing. I specialize in working with clients experiencing trauma, depression, anxiety, and those within the LGBTQIA+ community. My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard and understood.

I take a collaborative approach to therapy and believe that each person’s experiences and needs are unique. By tailoring treatment to each individual, I aim to help clients build resilience, gain insight, and develop the tools they need to move forward with greater confidence and well-being.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is person-centered and trauma-informed, meaning I prioritize creating a space where clients feel safe, respected, and empowered throughout the therapeutic process. I believe that healing happens when individuals feel genuinely supported and understood.

I incorporate evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and somatic techniques to help clients understand how their thoughts, emotions, and physical experiences are connected. These methods can support clients in processing trauma, managing anxiety and depression, and developing healthier coping strategies. My goal is to work alongside clients to identify meaningful goals and support them in creating lasting, positive change.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, clients can expect a welcoming and supportive environment where they can share their story at their own pace. The first meeting is an opportunity for us to get to know one another, discuss what brought them to therapy, and begin identifying goals for treatment.

I will ask some questions to better understand their experiences, current challenges, and what they hope to gain from therapy. Together, we will begin developing a plan that feels comfortable and meaningful for them. My goal is for clients to leave the first session feeling heard, supported, and hopeful about the path forward.
