Shelby Wright is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas who has been practicing since 1998. Shelby understands the anxiety, pressure, and information overload placed on individuals today at work, home, and society. She is here to listen and not judge and help you explore and get in touch with your emotions and cognitive ability. You are in the prime of your life, you have more cognitive skills than you realize or are given credit for. You are in the best years of your brain development and are developing your talents to find your passions and be your best self that includes permission to feel all emotions. Shelby offers a nonjudgmental safe space for clients to be free to express themselves and explore all opportunities for growth. She primarily utilizes ACT and works with clients of all ages to live a values-driven life. Shelby has a heart for working with teens, young adults, and women in a trauma informed approach. Shelby has experience in working with depression, anxiety, trauma, family, and peer conflict, LBGTQ+, and gender issues. She strives to create a diverse, inclusive, accepting, and welcoming space for all. Shelby looks forward to working with you on your journey. Outside of work, Shelby enjoys outdoor activities, music, audio books, cooking, and game nights with family and friends.
