Great to meet you!

I worked "in the trenches" with my Bachelor of Social Work degree for almost 20 years before returning to grad school to become a therapist. I think these experiences of interacting in homes, schools, hospitals, communities, and crisis situations led me to be a well-rounded and open-minded therapist.

My approach to therapy

I pride myself on the ability to meet clients wherever they are in their process; I can adapt to whatever therapy, interaction, or learning style works best for them. With me, you will get a laidback, empathetic, and patient therapist who likes to insert a little dark humor when appropriate. You will receive gentle nudging to ensure progress while being aware of comfort levels and readiness to approach certain issues.

What you can expect from me

I believe that no one is all good or all bad; rather, we are a result of the patterns, behaviors, and skills we have learned over the years. I truly believe that everyone is doing the best they can with the knowledge and skills that they have in the moment. The process is not about judgment or blame; it is about identifying what is working and what is not in order to make changes identified by you.
