Great to meet you!

I am a Doctor of Nursing Practice and board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC), providing psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and supportive psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and adults. Prior to becoming a PMHNP, I worked as a registered nurse in both medical and psychiatric hospital settings, providing care to patients with a broad range of medical and behavioral health needs.

I have specialized experience in child and adolescent psychiatry from the inpatient psychiatric unit at the University of Michigan Health C.S. Mott Children's Hospital, where she cared for youth with complex psychiatric conditions ranging from treatment-resistant catatonia requiring electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) to acute mood, anxiety, behavioral, psychotic, and neurodevelopmental disorders requiring inpatient hospitalization. I also have experience caring for adults experiencing acute psychiatric crises and supporting patients as they transition to outpatient treatment.

I earned both my Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degrees from the University of Michigan–Flint. My clinical expertise includes the evaluation and treatment of anxiety disorders, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, OCD, eating disorders, autism spectrum disorder, and other complex psychiatric conditions.

My approach to therapy

I believe effective mental health care is about more than prescribing medication. While medication can be a valuable tool, meaningful change often comes from combining it with therapy, healthy lifestyle habits, and a strong support system. I strive to create a welcoming, judgment-free space where you feel heard and understood. Together, we'll develop an individualized treatment plan that reflects your unique experiences, goals, and values, helping you build lasting emotional wellness.

What you can expect from me

Our first visit is an opportunity for me to get to know you beyond your symptoms. I'll take time to understand your story, how your life experiences have shaped your perspective, the challenges you're facing, and the goals you hope to achieve. Together, we'll discuss treatment options openly and honestly, including the potential benefits and limitations of medication, so you can make informed decisions about your care.
