Great to meet you!

First and foremost, I want you to know that you're welcome here exactly as you are. I love getting to know the people I work with: your story, your quirks, what makes you laugh, and what's weighing on your heart. I tend to be creative in how I approach our work together, because I've learned that healing rarely looks the same for any two people. Much of my work centers on grief and bereavement, end-of-life concerns, anxiety, depression, and the emotional toll of living with chronic conditions. If you're holding something heavy right now, I'd be honored to help you carry it for a while. You don't have to have it all figured out before you reach out, that's what we'll do together.

My approach to therapy

I believe you are the expert on your own life and my job is to walk alongside you, not ahead of you. My style is collaborative, gentle, and grounded in your strengths, even the ones you might not see in yourself yet. I draw from a range of approaches depending on what fits you best, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Trauma-Focused CBT to ease the thoughts and patterns that keep you stuck, along with Solution-Focused Brief Therapy and Motivational Interviewing when you're ready to take meaningful steps forward. At the foundation is a humanistic, person-centered spirit. I'll always meet you with curiosity and compassion rather than judgment. Whether you're grieving, managing stress, navigating a difficult diagnosis, or simply trying to feel more like yourself again, we'll find an approach that honors your pace and your needs.

What you can expect from me

Mostly, you can expect to take a breath and just be yourself. First sessions can feel a little nerve-wracking, so I keep ours relaxed and unhurried. There's no script you need to follow and no "right" way to begin. We'll spend some time getting to know each other, and I'll invite you to share whatever feels most pressing or simply what brought you in. I'll ask some gentle questions to understand your story, and we'll start to talk through what you're hoping for, whether that's healing, relief, clarity, or a bit of all three. By the end, my hope is that you leave feeling heard, a little lighter, and confident that this is a space where you can show up honestly. There's no pressure to dive deep right away. We'll go at a pace that feels right for you.
