Great to meet you!

I am an LPC committed helping individuals develop healthy coping skills to manage life's more challenging situations. I started out in the field of corrections and realized that people who found themselves entangled in the legal system were not bad people, just people that didn't have the tools to navigate life. This holds true for anyone, not just people with addictions or who end up in trouble. I have a passion to empower and help people discover the inner strengths they already possess.

My approach to therapy

I take a collaborative approach to help clients reach their goals. It's my belief that individuals have the innate ability to foster their own healing process. Sometimes a little guidance is helpful and all one may need to address stress, depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, etc. I use evidenced based treatment modalities like CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing. I can also use a faith based approach to help you move toward the wholeness and healing that you so desire in your life.

What you can expect from me

Taking the first step and engaging in therapy can be the hardest step one can take. Trauma informed care to include trust, safety, choice, collaboration, and empowerment is offered to every client that meets with me. My clients come away feeling seen, heard and understood sometimes for the first time. I love for each person to feel comfortable enough to share what they are experiencing in a warm, inviting and non-judgmental space. Clients come away with tools, solutions and new perspectives.
