Great to meet you!

My name is Shemelly Williams, and I am a passionate, empathetic therapist. I obtained a Bachelor's degree in social work, and a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling. I have worked in the areas of substance use, and currently work with clients dealing with OCD, anxiety and relational issues. I enjoy working with adult individuals, families, and couples. Starting therapy can feel intimidating at first, however it is an extremely rewarding investment.

My approach to therapy

I strongly believe in meeting each client where they are. I remind my clients that there is no specific deadline to healthy progress and encourage them to take baby steps throughout their healing journey. I do not believe in a one size fits all approach and believe that through building insight and learning to tolerate difficult thoughts and feelings my clients have seen many improvements in their mental and emotional health.

What you can expect from me

I create a safe environment for my clients, somewhere they can be themselves: laugh, cry, and even yell if needed. We are humans, and humans have emotions, intense ones at times, which should be felt, not suppressed or avoided. My clients can expect to learn more about themselves through meeting with me and learn healthy coping methods to dealing with daily life stressors.
