Great to meet you!

I'm Shereen Breuer, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker supporting adults through trauma, burnout, and life transitions. I work with helpers, caregivers, therapists, mothers, and professionals who are ready to stop carrying so much alone and go deeper into their own healing. My approach is integrative, drawing from EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic practices, and mindfulness to help you break repeating patterns and reconnect with yourself. I have a deep commitment to working with people of the global majority, women, mothers, immigrants, and LGBTQ+ communities, and I warmly welcome anyone who feels called to this work. Feel free to each out for a free 15-minute consultation.

My approach to therapy

My approach is integrative and trauma-informed which means, I don't follow a single rigid method, but draw from a range of evidence-based practices to meet you where you are. I pull from EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic practices, mindfulness, and Ecotherapy depending on what your healing calls for.

I work collaboratively and relationally — you set the pace, and I follow your lead. My focus is on helping you understand the patterns that keep showing up in your life, reconnect with yourself, and move through what's been stuck. I specialize in trauma, burnout, grief, anxiety, and life transitions, with a particular focus on helpers and caregivers who give so much to others that their own healing gets left behind.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other so there's no pressure to dive into anything you're not ready for. I'll ask about what's bringing you in, what you've been carrying, and what you're hoping therapy can offer you. Think of it as a conversation, not an intake.

My goal for our first session is simple: I want you to leave feeling heard, not analyzed. Together we'll start to get a sense of what's been showing up in your life, what patterns you're ready to look at, and what pace feels right for your healing. I create a space that is warm, nonjudgmental, and culturally attuned, a place where you don't have to translate yourself or shrink to be understood.
