Great to meet you!

I am so glad you are here! If you are looking for a place to begin your healing journey, you are in the right place. My counseling tends to be practical and educational. I have been a counselor for 21 years now. I love to integrate my clinical skills with Biblical principles if you are open to that. If you are not open to that, please just let me know this in our first meeting. I have worked in every setting I can think of with the exception of prisons (though I have volunteered in one). I view this diverse experience as helpful in meeting people where they are.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic focus is to improve functioning and restore your joy in life. I am EMDR Certified for trauma resolution and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor.

I love the middle part of Psalm 26:11 “In your presence is the fullness of joy.”

My Therapy approach types

  • Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
  • EMDR – Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing
  • Emotionally Focused (EFT)
  • Existential Therapy (finding meaning and purpose)
  • Spiritual Direction & Christian Counseling
  • Solution Focused Therapy
  • Gottman (especially for relationship and communication)

Did you know that we can actually choose joy in the midst of all kinds of trials in life? We can, and choosing it makes a difference! If you are discouraged and want someone to help with this, let’s talk!

(Your treatment plan will be tailored to you and your goals.)

May God Bless you on your journey to wellness and healing!

What you can expect from me

I am honored to support individuals and families from a variety of backgrounds, each with unique experiences, challenges, and strengths. I work with Christian and faith-based communities, providing care that thoughtfully integrates faith and emotional healing. Supporting parents and families is also an important part of my practice, helping strengthen relationships, improve communication, and navigate the challenges of parenting.

I also work with educators and students, recognizing the demands of both teaching and learning while helping support emotional wellness and personal growth. For caregivers and medical professionals, I provide a supportive space to process stress, prevent burnout, and build resilience in the midst of demanding roles.

I additionally support individuals living with chronic illness, helping them navigate the emotional and mental impact of ongoing health challenges. I am also passionate about working with teens and young adults as they navigate important life transitions, build confidence, and develop healthy foundations for the future.
