Great to meet you!

I believe in looking at the whole person and that everyone has their own unique life journey. After working 25 plus years as a social worker, I feel privileged to have heard many clients’ life stories and struggles and to have helped them grow and feel more at ease with themselves. From distressed caregivers to bereaved spouses/parents/siblings, to people going through major life transitions, I have been there to help and support them. Focusing on your strengths and fostering your sense of self-worth and confidence is an important part of what I do.

My experience has been mainly with adults and older adults, working on issues of loss, anxiety, depression, caregiver stress and low self-esteem. I use a combination of approaches in my practice, including cognitive behavioral, psychodynamic, grief work and mindfulness. We'll find what works best for you and work towards creating a happier more satisfying life for yourself.

My approach to therapy

I use a combination of treatment types, including cognitive behavioral and mindfulness, both of which will help you take more control of your life and promote a sense of peace within yourself. We will examine your unhelpful thought patterns, and you will learn how to challenge those and develop healthier more positive ones. Mindfulness will help you stay in the present and relax your mind and body.

What you can expect from me

The work we can do together will take place in an empathetic, non-judgmental, accepting environment that is totally confidential. You will be truly heard and validated, and encouraged to share your thoughts and feelings in way and pace that is comfortable for you. Our session will help you feel empowered and more able to reach your goals.
